How to Add a Requirement: Custom File Type

Learn how to add a custom requirement from a third party

Use this option for requirements such as:

  • NAYS
  • Positive Coaching Alliance 
  • SafeSport 
  • NFHS Courses 

Follow these steps to add a custom requirement from a third party:

  1. Go to the Requirement Library.
  2. Click "Add New Requirement."
  3. In the Custom Requirement section, select "Custom File" and click the "+" button.
  4. Enter the Requirement Name.
  5. Enter the number of days until the requirement expires after completion.
  6. Add instructions (optional but helpful for the user).
  7. Add the URL for the third-party training that the user needs to complete.
  8. On the right panel, select the Group(s) and Role(s) that this requirement will be assigned to immediately.
  9. Click "Save."

What happens next?

An automated email will be sent to users, alerting them that a new requirement has been assigned to them. Users are asked to log in to their account and complete the new requirement.

Once the User has uploaded their requirement, the designated role within the Organization will need to login and review, validate and approve/reset/disqualify the document. This will be available in your Review Upload Requirements section. Read more about this process here. 

How does a User complete this requirement type?

To complete a custom file type, follow these steps:

1. Click Complete Online

This button will take you to the unique URL to access the training/certification 

2. Click Upload

Enter the Completion Date of the Certificate 

3. Click Browse Files to attach the File 

4. Click Upload

What happens next?

Your status for this requirement will change from "Incomplete" to "Pending Review." The Admin of your organization will then review, validate, and approve/reset/disqualify your uploaded document.
