How to edit an assigned requirement

Learn how to make changes to a requirement

You have the flexibility to modify a requirement at any time. This includes:

  • Renaming the requirement
  • Updating the expiration date
  • Editing the instructions
  • Modifying the URL
  • Un-assigning the requirement
  • Assigning it to new groups and roles
  • Setting the requirement as optional

Go to the Content Library and locate the requirement you wish to edit within the My Content section.


To rename the requirement, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the pencil icon.
  2. In the Content Name field, enter the new name for the requirement.
  3. Click on the save to apply the changes.

To update the expiration date, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the pencil icon.
  2. Input the new number of days for the requirement to expire in the "Expiration (After completed)" field.
  3. Click on the save to confirm the changes.

To edit the instructions, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the pencil icon.
  2. Revise the instructions as desired.
  3. Click the save  to finalize the changes.

To modify the URL:

  1. Click on the pencil icon.
  2. Edit the URL in the designated field.
  3. Click the save to confirm the changes.

To unassign the requirement: 

  1. Click on the Reassign icon
  2. *Select the Roles within each Group you’d like to unassign the requirement 
  3. Click the save to confirm the changes

*Tip:

By clicking the “Assign to all descending groups”, the requirement will be assigned to that role in every group below it. 


To designate the requirement to different groups and roles:

  1. Navigate to the Content Library and find the requirement you want to modify in the My Content section.
  2. Click on the reassign icon.
  3. Tick the checkbox next to the Group and role where you want to allocate the requirement. Keep in mind that selecting "assign to all descending groups" will assign the requirement to the chosen role in all descending groups.
  4. Optionally, choose "make optional" if you prefer not to enforce the requirement as mandatory.
