Fingerprint-based background checks. Simplified
Live scan fingerprinting is a legal requirement for organizations in California and Florida. Ankored integrates with BioMetrics4All to make it simple.
What is Live Scan Fingerprinting?
In California and Florida, youth sports organizations are required by law to submit fingerprint-based background checks — known as Live Scan — for coaches, volunteers, and staff who work with minors.
These checks connect directly to state and FBI databases for a higher level of identity verification.
Ankored integrates with BioMetrics4All to make this once-complicated process simple, trackable, and fully managed in one place.

Before You Get Started: The ORI Number
An ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) is a state-issued code that authorizes your organization to submit fingerprint background checks. You'll need one before Ankored can activate your live scan integration and it must be obtained directly through your state.
California
Apply through the California Department of Justice. Processing can take several weeks to over a month, so start early..
Florida
Most youth sports organizations apply through the VECHS program via the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
